The University of Oregon, home to the Ducks, is currently 4th in the North Division with a 4-3 record following Saturday’s game against the Washington Huskies. As the team prepares for its next away game against the Arizona State Sun Devils, talk of bowl season is in the air, and the stakes seem to be getting higher and higher as game day draws closer.

So to put things into perspective, here’s a look at where the Oregon Ducks currently stand in comparison to Thursday night’s matchup.

Winning their season opener against Eastern Washington on September 5 was seemingly a breeze for the Ducks, as the Eagles were defeated 61-42. However, their next game took a different turn, as the Ducks couldn’t defeat the Michigan State Spartans and lost 31-28 in a close game.

This pattern continued for the Ducks, as they went on to defeat the Georgia State Panthers week 3 (61-28) only to lose again week 4 to Utah in a complete blowout (62-20).

The Ducks then won against the Colorado Buffaloes 41-24 followed by a week 6 loss to Washington State 45-38 in yet another close game. Having won the most recent, albeit low-scoring, week 7 game (26-20), records would indicate fans should expect a loss on Oct. 29 against the Sun Devils.

But going up against a team that’s 3rd in the South Division with a record matching that of the Ducks, it’s anyone’s game.

Both teams are familiar with the other’s rough start, and both are aware of the looming Pac-12 championship expectations and the fact that the title is slowly slipping through their fingers.

With Oregon’s most important games just around the corner, it’ll be interesting to see if predictions in favor of the Ducks making a bowl appearance made by ESPN, SB Nation and CBS Sports hold true and whether or not we’ll actually see the Ducks make a bowl appearance. Fans think so, but we’ll see come game time on the 29th.

Either way, Thursday’s game is going to set the mood for the rest of the season, (and most likely for the post-season) and all Duck fans are crossing their fingers in hopes that the team’s win-loss pattern will be broken and that they’ll be bringing home the second win in a row for the first time this season.

And if you’re looking for a place to watch the game (since many Oregon fans won’t be making the trip out to Frank Kush Field in Tempe, Arizona for Thursday night’s game), 13th & Olive has you covered.

Priding itself as the largest structure in Eugene (outside of the University of Oregon, that is), 13th & Olive has grown into a central hub for many graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Oregon.

While you may recognize the location due to its series of concert experiences, they are now the off-campus home to Oregon Duck’s football, and therefore the perfect place for your viewing party to watch Thursday night’s game.

So if you’re disappointed you won’t be in attendance at the game, and you aren’t satisfied with watching from your dorm/apartment or from one of the local bars, head over to 13th & Olive on Thursday night for the full-on, spirited celebration of the Duck vs. Sun Devils all-or-nothing showdown.

The structure is being transformed into what it calls the “Duck Football Headquarters” where Oregon Football Legend X will not only be in attendance, but will be hosting the viewing party.

Doors will be open to residents and non-residents and the only stipulation is that you’re there to view a Ducks win against the Sun Devils! I think we can all agree to those rules, huh?

And should the event go well, fans won’t only be leaving with a smile on their faces and another win in their back pockets, but they’ll have the perfect place to share their school spirit and support Oregon Duck Football.

So show your school spirit, put on your Ducks sportswear and head over to 13th & Olive to help fully integrate the building into Duck culture, and to have a spirited environment in which to celebrate all future Duck wins.
